During the site's pre-launch build, the team first tried the leaked original 4chan engine (Yotsuba) and found it bad and hard to set up. They switched to Yushe's engine, a large improvement, and it is what the site still uses. [[MANVS]] has since modified and secured it heavily, but the base is Yushe's. [[SomeBois]]'s account of the difference: on Yotsuba, one small break takes down the whole engine; on Yushe's engine, a break stays contained to the thing that broke. Yushe spent a few weeks polishing the engine before sending it over.

Per [[MANVS]], Yushe simply handed the engine over, with little discussion, and was mostly not in contact afterward. Yushe is one of the three people thanked in the first changelog post ("WELCOME TO 2SWAGG!!!", 12 August 2026) "for helping write the amazing engine and efficient site," alongside [[MANVS]] and [[Princess]].

Yushe still holds SSH access to the [[2swagg]] server, along with [[MANVS]] and [[Princess]].
