2swagg wiki:Logo and favicon

How to change the wiki's logo (top-left corner) and favicon (browser-tab icon) without touching the server. All three are ordinary uploaded files; to change one, upload a new image over the same file name.

Logo

Upload to File:Wiki-logo.png (via Special:Upload or drag-and-drop). Square-ish PNG works best; MonoBook shows it in roughly a 150 by 150 px box. Live as soon as the upload finishes.

Favicon (browser tab)

Upload to File:Wiki-favicon.ico. A .ico is preferred (16, 32, 48 px sizes in one file); a single-size PNG renamed to .ico also works. Browsers cache favicons hard, so hard-refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R) or open a new tab to see a change.

iOS home-screen icon

Upload to File:Wiki-favicon.png. This is the icon used when someone saves the wiki to an iPhone/iPad home screen. Must be a PNG (256 by 256 is fine).

Notes

• Do not delete these files. Replace them by re-uploading. A deleted one 404s until re-uploaded.
• Allowed upload types: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, ICO. No SVG.
• Wired in LocalSettings.php via $wgLogos, $wgFavicon, and $wgAppleTouchIcon, pointing at the fixed /images/ paths for those filenames (which stay valid across re-uploads).
