Fortunes

Fortunes are a per-board 2swagg feature. Type fortune in the email field when you post, on a board where it is enabled (/mlp/, /oc/, and others), and your post gets a random line from a pool of about 29 tacked onto it.

The pool covers a wide range on purpose:

• plain ones: "Bad Luck", "Good Luck", "Great things await"
• absurd ones: a "COLORFUL AURA" entry rendered in an animated rainbow gradient, a "what's the capital of France" joke shown in French-flag colours, a "HITLAAARRR" entry
• deliberately offensive and dark entries, which this wiki does not reproduce

A handful of fortunes come out as an image (the same reaction GIFs used by some emotes: words.gif, yousuck.gif, lurkmore.gif) instead of text.

Fortunes are a clean example of the site's escalating shock-humor style: it starts with a fortune-cookie bit and then sees how far it can push it.
