Swaggtan is the mascot of 2swagg: a pink-haired anime-style girl character, usually drawn with dark sunglasses and an awesome-face shirt. She shows up in the site's rotating banner images and is the face of the 404 "page not found" screen.
She was created by Slashstabslice, a moderator and the site's main artist, who drew her during the site's development. The FAQ credits her plainly: "made by one of our mods Slashstabslice, thanks slash!" Since launch she has picked up a lot of user fan art (some of it pornographic), and SomeBois says appreciation posts about her have shown up on other imageboards.
"Swaggtan" is also one of the joke names that can land on a post through the Nameroll feature, so you will occasionally see the mascot's name attached to a random anonymous post. There is a mascot-introduction thread for her on /swag/, and "Swaggot" / "Swaggotmark" flags exist in the /mlp/ flag set.
The name follows the "-tan" convention from imageboard culture, where a site, program, or object gets personified as a cute character (Bonzi-tan, OS-tan, Futaba-tan, and so on).

Besides the standard portrait, Swaggtan appears in one-off art tied to news posts, such as the kimono drawing from "A GIFT FROM 2SWAGG TO JAPAN" (see Site history).
