Nameroll

Namerolls are a 2swagg feature that, instead of showing the usual "Anonymous" on a post, randomly assigns one of a pool of joke names and 2swagg culture.

Known names in the pool

• Toshiaki and its Japanese spelling としあき, a recurring joke identity from Futaba Channel (2chan), the Japanese imageboard. On Futaba the default anonymous name is "としあき", and "Toshiaki" became treated as a single recurring person as a running gag. 2swagg borrows it.
• Swagglet, Swaggtard, Swaggbois (a near-homophone of SomeBois)
• Swaggtan, shared with the site mascot
• Opsec Demon, Desu, Nimrod, literalwho, Richard Deslevious
• several more, including some edgier ones, and names rendered in custom colored or stylized text

Some names are nods to other imageboards: "Anonymous" (4chan), "Chud" (soyjak.party), "Toshiaki" (2chan). The rest are site memes and in-jokes that SomeBois adds through the admin panel. The list above is what has been observed; it is not guaranteed complete.

Why it exists

It fits the site's general habit of turning small UI details into bits (see also the Homepage taglines and the crude board titles). Getting a funny name rolled onto an otherwise throwaway post is part of the joke.
