FAQ and glossary
Terminology and common questions for 2swagg, based on the site's own FAQ. General imageboard terms are included for readers new to the format. For the full original FAQ, see 2swagg.net/faq.
Accounts[edit | edit source]
2swagg has no account system for ordinary users. The FAQ states this plainly. The only exceptions are paid 2swagg Pass holders and staff ("janny") accounts. Everyone else posts anonymously.
Tripcodes[edit | edit source]
A tripcode lets an anonymous poster prove two posts came from the same person, without an account. You enter Name#password in the name field and the site shows a hash after your name. One # is a standard trip (works the same across imageboards); two ## is a secure trip unique to 2swagg. Full detail on the Tripcodes page.
Using a name or trip at all is optional, and per Site culture it is often mocked ("namefag", "tripfag").
Post and thread terms[edit | edit source]

| OP | "Original poster" or "opening post": the post that starts a thread and sets its topic, or the person who made it. |
| bump | Replying to a thread moves it back to the top of the board index. A reply "bumps" the thread. |
| sage | From the Japanese verb sageru (下げる), "to lower". Typing "sage" in the email/options field makes a reply that does not bump the thread. Used when a reply does not add to the topic. |
| noko / nonoko | Options-field keywords controlling whether you are redirected to your own post after posting. Redirect happens by default; "nonoko" disables it. |
| sticky | A thread pinned to the top of a board by staff. |
| GET | A post whose number is considered notable, usually for a long run of repeated digits. The FAQ says such a post "should be checked." |
| checkem | Type it in the options field to mark a GET. There is a whole tier system (DUBS, TRIPS, QUADS, ULTRA GET). See Checkem. |

Culture terms[edit | edit source]
"newfag" (new user), "namefag" (posts under a name), "tripfag" (posts with a tripcode), "anon" (anonymous poster): standard imageboard vocabulary, used the same way on 2swagg. See Site culture.
