2swagg Pass
The 2swagg Pass is the optional paid membership on 2swagg. It was introduced to let a holder skip the site's CAPTCHA when posting or reporting, and to give them a cosmetic icon.

The main perk is effectively moot: SomeBois turned the site CAPTCHA off entirely after users complained about it (posts-per-hour jumped once it was gone). With no CAPTCHA for anyone, a Pass currently just gets you the icon.
As of the site's first two weeks, per SomeBois, no one had bought a Pass. SomeBois describes it as really a donation with a cosmetic perk attached and has floated relabelling it as a "donation" outright to head off the complaints it draws from other imageboards.
Framing[edit | edit source]
The purchase page presents the Pass as community-originated rather than administrator-imposed: "The idea for Passes came directly from the community and were introduced as a way for users to show their support and receive a convenient feature in return."
