Accounts

2swagg has no account system for ordinary users. The FAQ states this plainly. The only exceptions are paid 2swagg Pass holders and staff ("janny") accounts. Everyone else posts anonymously.

Tripcodes

A tripcode lets an anonymous poster prove they are the same person across posts, without an account. It is entered in the name field as Name#Tripcode.

  • A single # produces a standard tripcode using an algorithm shared across imageboard software generally.
  • A double ## produces a secure tripcode specific to 2swagg: the same password gives a different code here than on another site.

Using a name or tripcode at all is optional, and per Site culture it is often mocked ("namefag", "tripfag").

Post and thread terms

Term Meaning
OP "Original poster" or "opening post": the post that starts a thread and sets its topic, or the person who made it.
bump Replying to a thread moves it back to the top of the board index. A reply "bumps" the thread.
sage From the Japanese verb sageru (下げる), "to lower". Typing "sage" in the email/options field makes a reply that does not bump the thread. Used when a reply does not add to the topic.

sticky A thread pinned to the top of a board by staff.
